The dot seen round the world.

Zits are 10 times bigger when viewed in a mirror than when viewed on on someone else’s face.
That is a verifiable fact.
I mean, maybe not totally verifiable but it’s a pretty solid theory nonetheless.
The reasons being:

A. We are generally far more critical of our own faces than we are of others – I’m constantly baffled when women tell me what’s wrong with their beautiful faces and  it’s not that I’m just cluelessly viewing the world from rose colored glasses either. I’m a fairly beauty savvy gal with 20/20 vision and I  sit there looking at them with the most confused face trying to squint or tilt my head to get some faint idea of what they are talking about. I wish everyone could have that experience daily like I do because it makes me realize that my little insecurities could possibly be just as inconceivable to everyone else as theirs.

B. Not only can you see it,  you can also feel it! Taking up two senses instead of one. Which makes it seem larger than life.

In order to carry on with your life as usual with as little zit interruption as possible you gotta:

1. Cut the swelling/pain.
Advil Liquid Gel, baby. Stick a pin in it an squeeze a drop onto your spot. It will soften the pain, squash the swelling and it even helps with redness.
2. Dry that sucker out to shorten it’s life span
My current favorite zit zapping stick is THIS. I put it on at night and I swear the zit is half the size by morning!
3. Camouflage it.
I have a very old, but still totally relevant video of my zit coverage procedure HERE. The only thing missing in the video is my very favorite concealer for this type of work. Kat Von D Concealer. It actually kind of smells like paint which…could be a little concerning but with staying power like that, it’s worth it.
